Could we build a robot that signed a giant greeting card?

A client approached us about an upcoming work anniversary of a senior executive, and we suggested making a robot that signed a giant greeting card. Lots of other people featured in other projects listed here helped make this happen. And for 20 glorious minutes in an unoccupied corporate space in Northern Virginia around midnight on a cold, November night, our creation signed a test greeting card with a list of names generated by a random name generating website.

Unfortunately, it was just too fragile for the real world - it lost its mind and just drew a diaganol line right off the card onto the wall when we tried to let aforementioned senior exec's deputy sign it. We ended up changing directions and going down a purely online user generated content site direction.

But for 20 glorious minutes, Plotterbot lived.

last words...
